Funtington Local History Group
The Funtington Archive
To join, send an e-mail to FLHG@sandylane.plus.com and I will arrange permission for you to access the archive.
Objectives
- The primary object of the archive is to store, protect and make more widely available, local history information.
- The group will be a virtual group primarily communicating electronically, although occasional meetings may be held to put a human face on proceedings.
- The group will collect any historical information relevant to the Parish of Funtington. The boundaries of the Parish are defined as those of the current civil parish.
- Anybody interested in the local history of Funtington Parish may apply to join.
- Members of the group must have a Google identity and internet access.
- Members are encouraged to deposit documents in the appropriate folder on this site, which will be private and may only be viewed by other members.
- A web site will be set up to co-ordinate and publish the information, which has been deposited in the groups folders. Selected members will be appointed as authors for the web site. The web site will be available on a 'read only' basis to the public.
- Eventually the information from the web site may be edited for publication as a book.
